Antioxidant Capacity, Total Phenol Contents and Phytochemical Screening of <i>Citrullus colocynthis</i> Crust, Pulp and Seeds Extracts

In this study, the phytochemical screening of Citrullus colocynthis (C. colocynthis) crust, pulp, and seed extracts was studied to evaluate compare their antioxidant capacities total phenol contents. C. fruit, including seed, extracted using n-hexan, methanol, 1, 2 trichloroethane, respectively, a soxhlet. Phytochemical screening, capacity Ferric-Bipyridine Reducing Capacity antioxidants (FBRC) Ferric Antioxidant Power (FRAP) methods, content were assessed estimate effect on colocynthis. The results showed that extract negative for all tests except fixed oil fats, protein, amino acids, while pulp positive most tests. crust reducing sugar, tannins, saponins. Yemeni demonstrated highest value compared from different areas. values lowest according FBRC FRAP methods. Based these results, has values, values.
